2021 Mural Arts Program

The Fall Youth Mural Project kicked off this September! Led by world renown artist and muralist Sarah Rutherford, this program took 9 local high school students from Indiana County and one local assistant artist and immersed them in the mural making process, going from initial sketch and ideas, to final painting and rendering on the wall. This project ran from the 18th-26th of September. There was an unveiling event and party for the public on Sunday, September 26th at 10:00 am.

Sarah Rutherford painted the three story “The Only Way Out is Through” mural in downtown Indiana, PA, right behind Fox’s Pizza in October 2020. She is currently the Public Art Coordinator/ Founder of Roc Paint Division, the city of Rochester’s youth mural employment program, which began in 2016.
